Holly T. Hansen, Family History Expos, Inc. President Through Family History Expos, Holly has helped thousands understand the techniques and technology to trace their roots in today's ever-changing technological environment. She received an Honors B.A. in History from Weber State University and continues to dedicate time to education on a daily basis. Holly is the mother of 5 children. She is also an author, lecturer, former editor of Everton's Genealogical Helper magazine, and editor of the 10th and 11th editions of the Handybook for Genealogists.

Chris P. Hansen, Vice President By day, Chris is the assistant water superintendent for Morgan City Corporation in Utah where he has worked for 22 years. By night, he is Family History Expos, Inc. vice president and one of the company's biggest fans. He and Holly have been married for 35 years and live in Croydon, Utah. At events Chris oversees transportation, set-up and take-down, but his true passion is overseeing the prize drawings.

ShyAnna Chambers, Executive Assistant ShyAnna grew up with family history and is still discovering she knows more about it than she can possibly imagine. Her tech skills put her ahead in the office and she loves working with people. Whether on the phone or in person, she has the ability to give the customer just what they need.

Kimberly A. Savage, Director Kim was born in Burley, Idaho and raised in Layton, Utah. She graduated from Weber State University in Health Information Management of Records & Information Systems and Technology. Kim has researched genealogy for more than 15 years, specializing in British, Irish, Utah, and western state records. She also instructs classes in research and fun, creative ways to involve others in family history.

Daniel C. Thomson, Director  Dan comes to Family History Expos, Inc. with a background in finance, programming and offset printing. He has spent the last 28 years in the offset print industry with responsibilities from being a production employee to most recently as General Manager of a mid-sized offset printing company. His experience with people and technology gives Dan a special skill set for working with exhibitors and our website.



Jennifer Hunt Johnson, Editor Jenni puts her experience in writing, editing, and publishing to work as an editor at Family History Expos, focusing on the syllabus for each Expo and Retreat. She spent the bulk of her career as a technical writer and documentation department manager for high tech companies in Salt Lake City. After that she served for three years as vice president of My Ancestors Found, which later became Family History Expos, Inc. She has a BA in English from Brigham Young University.

Susan Duncan, Event Manager Susan has been organizing conferences, fairs, weddings and many others events most of her adult life. She was born in California, but raised her family on a large potato farm in Burley, ID. Susan and her husband currently reside in St. George, UT. She loves working with Family History Expos and being a part of helping so many people discover their roots.

Jill E. Burke, Project Manager Jill has been a Global Account Executive/Project Manager with ConferenceDirect since 2010 with a wide range of experience in the meeting industry. She has managed corporate governance meetings, trade shows, incentives, medical device training, and customer appreciation events. She is a member of the Minnesota Meeting Professionals International Chapter and is an avid volunteer with Sons of Norway and the MN Historical Society. Jill was bitten by the genealogy bug after taking classes at a local college, but has had an interest in family history since childhood.  

Tanya N. Atuaia, Expo Assistant Tanya enjoys family history events and has been attending conferences, seminars, and expos since she was eight years old. She graduated from North Summit High School and is currently assisting onsite with the Family History Expos booth and classroom needs.

Billy D. Edgington, Expo Assistant Billy received a BA in History from the University of California Irvine, after also spending two years at San Jose State and three years at Antioch College, Ohio. She has over 40 years’ experience in historical and genealogical research, is a co-author of "Vital Information from the Guion Miller Roll," author of "African-Cherokee Connections," and past contributor to the Genealogical Helper. Billy manages the Ask-the-Pros booth at our Expos.

James L. Tanner, Social Media Coordinator, James has a B.A. Degree in Spanish, an M.A. Degree in Linguistics from the University of Utah, and a J.D. Degree in Law from Arizona State University. He has 37 years experience as a trial attorney in Arizona. He also has over 30 years experience in genealogical research and is the author of The Guide to FamilySearch Online. He is an avid Blogger and his genealogy blog, Genealogy's Star is on of the top genealogy blogs in the US. He has been a presenter at a number of Expos and Conferences. He is the former owner of a retail computer business and Apple Macintosh software company.

Sandip Banchhode, Website Development, Sandip is a Director at Web Dreamworks (India) Pvt. Ltd. where he is the leading provider of global consulting, information technology, financial planning & analysis, accounting and administration. Sandip is responsible the company's high-touch customer relationship and delivery excellence model, providing this leadership for more than 15 years. Sandip began working with Family History Expos in March of 2010. He is married with one child and lives in Nasik, India.


Arlene H. Eakle, Genealogical Research Advisor Arlene is the President and founder of The Genealogical Institute, Inc., Dr. Eakle is a professional genealogist with more than 30 years’ experience in research, consulting, lecturing, and writing. An expert in tracing families from New York, Southern U.S., British Isles, Switzerland, and parts of Germany, she claims a 96% success rate.

Michael T. Booth, Technology & Website Advisor Michael is the Vice President of RootsMagic, Inc. He is an accomplished trainer, having given hands-on presentations to thousands of individuals. With over 25 years of computer programming experience, Michael is the author of "Personal Historian" and "Family Atlas" and is also a developer of the popular RootsMagic genealogy software. Michael lives in Ogden, Utah with his wife, Sandy and their children.

Bernie Gracy, SWOT Advisor Bernie is the External CTO and VP Business Development, Volly at Pitney Bowes. Bernie has a BS and MS in Computer Science, an MS in E-Commerce, and is an avid genealogist. He is a partner in the AncestralHunt.com website, a Connecticut based software company that has created a breakthrough member-driven geo-spatial collaboration environment to allow genealogists and family historians to break down brick walls and create deeper insight into their ancestral origins.
