"Come join us at the Colorado Expo and learn how to research your family history and extend your pedigree!"

Your syllabus handouts on CD are included with your registration fee. If you also want a printed copy of the handouts for note-taking at the Expo be sure to purchase it when you register for this event (if you have questions be sure to call us 801-829-3295).

We have worked with the hotel to offer box lunches this year to help avoid crowding during the meal breaks. Be sure to purchase yours during your registration for the event to ensure you have one waiting for you. We have also arranged for additional seating during the meal breaks please watch for signs.

Opening Keynote

James L. Tanner : Has a B.A. Degree in Spanish, an M.A. Degree in Linguistics from the University of Utah, and a J.D. Degree in Law from Arizona State University. He has 37 years experience as a trial attorney in Arizona. He also has over 30 years experience in genealogical research and is the author of The Guide to FamilySearch Online. He is an avid Blogger and his genealogy blog, Genealogy's Star is on of the top genealogy blogs in the US. He has been a presenter at a number of Expos and Conferences. He is the former owner of a retail computer business and Apple Macintosh software company. James is the social media coordinator at Family History Expos.

Closing Keynote

Holly T. Hansen : President of Family History Expos, Inc. Through Family History Expos, Holly has helped thousands understand the techniques and technology to trace their roots in today's ever-changing technological environment. She received a B.A. in History from Weber State University and continues to dedicate time to education on a daily basis. She is also an author, lecturer, former editor of Everton's Genealogical Helper magazine, and editor of the 10th and 11th editions of the Handybook for Genealogists.

    If you prefer, reservations can also be made by calling 888.233.9527 and telling the reservationist that you are part of the Family History Expo attending a conference at the Crowne Plaza Colorado Springs.

    The cutoff date for making reservations is Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Following this cutoff date, reservations will be made on a space and rate available basis.

    The Crowne Plaza Colorado Springs is conveniently located off I-25 south of Colorado Springs.  There are restaurants on-site and they offer free parking and complimentary internet  in each room. Check-in is at 3:00pm and check-out is at 11:00am.  A complimentary cooked to order breakfast is included in the $99 rate as well as a nightly manager's reception!
