This year our opening keynote will be presented by renowned author and speaker Robert S. Davis, M.Ed, MA will reveal the “Secrets to Research in Georgia” and much more. Davis is director of the Genealogy Program of Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Alabama. He has more than 1,000 publications on records and research to his credit and ours. He will be presenting 4 additional classes at the Expo, you will certainly learn new ways to increase your research success.

Another unique opportunity for you to learn will be from Paul Adjei of Kumasi, Ghana, Africa. Adjei is an expert in capturing, preserving, and sharing oral history. Capturing the oral traditions in our families is critical to all aspects of research. Adjei has developed a stellar method of capturing history in a country where few if any written records exist. If he can do it there certainly we can learn from his challenges and successes to do it in our family history too. And, if you have ancestry from Ghana, you will be astounded at what he is building.

Bernard E. Gracy, Jr. of Connecticut will be back with more information on DNA and Echos from the past. His presentations will focus on how we can take modern technology and more our research into the realms of the unknown. At the end of the day on Saturday Gracy and Adjei will lead us in an amazing Q & A session to assist us with making the connections of oral history and DNA to open new worlds of thought to our research. Don’t miss this once in lifetime experience.

Other presenters of note include: Dr. D. L. Henderson focusing on African American research opportunities. James L. Tanner teaching the latest and greatest techniques with technology, Jennifer Dondero shares her expertise on Georgia, NARA, and using DAR collections from afar. Monica L. Hopkins will open the world of online catalogs, free books online and more. To see our full line up of presenters go to
