Opening Keynote is Barbara Renick
Barbara RenickÂ serves as a genealogical computing instructor at the Regional Family History Center in Orange, California. She has taught genealogical computing classes since 1985 and frequently lectures at regional and national conferences. She writes for several genealogy publications and authoredÂ Genealogy 101: How To Trace Your Family’s History andÂ Heritage for the National Genealogical Society’s 100th Anniversary.
Since 1995, Glenn has been telling stories on various radio stations. He worked on the Joseph Smith Papers; a weekly television documentary on the life of Joseph Smith. He is currently producing History of the Saints, an ongoing television documentary series focused on the epic history of the Latter-day Saints. The first season commenced with the martyrdom of Joseph Smith, the Mormon Prophet, and followed the Saints across the plains to Utah. Subsequent seasons discuss expansion and colonization of the West, development of Utah and more.
Each show features interviews with some of the most informed scholars presenting the latest in cutting-edge research. Viewers see the places, pictures, and journals of those who made that history. Each episode contains original signature music scored especially for that story. For those who want to learn about the history that comprises the unique culture and heritage of the Latter-day Saints, this show is a must.
