Look back at the Georgia FamilyHistory Expo

Last weekend passed all too fast, from our arrival in Atlanta on Thursday until our departure on Sunday after the Expo, we were in a whirlwind of activity. Friday morning was spent getting everything ready for the presentations. The vendors were setting up their booths and classrooms had to be set up for sound and projectors. Before we knew it, it was ready to start. We had an outstanding opening keynote address by Robert S. Davis. His review of the Georgia genealogical resources was phenomenal. We also heard about the recent controversy over closing down the Georgia Archives. A last minute reprieve by the Governor of Georgia barely keeps the facility open for a few more months.
