Holly T. Hansen, President and Founder of Family History Expos, Inc. Has been instrumental in helping thousands understand the principles, strategies, and sources they can use to trace their roots in today's ever-changing technological environment.

She is the mastermind behind more than 50 Family History Expos, held across the United States, and numerous Retreats at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah and other repositories in diverse cities. She is dedicated to helping individuals and families, one-on-one, with their personal research needs. Currently, she is involved creating podcasts, webinars, and video presentations to help people move forward in their family history endeavors with the comforts of home.

Holly's titles include author, lecturer, editor, and publisher. She has produced more than 100 unique syllabus and class handout books for Family History Expos attendees. She is a former editor of Everton's Genealogical Helper magazine, and editor of the 10th and 11th editions of The Handybook for Genealogists, with more than one million copies sold. She has also authored The Directory of North American Railroads, Trekking for Ancestors, and co-authored a series of 16 family history interview books entitled Celebrating and Capturing the Memories and 20 in-depth Research Guides for many aspects of family history research.

Holly and her husband, Chris P. Hansen, have been married for 38 years and are the parents of five remarkable children. Holly received an Honors BA in History from Weber State University and continues to dedicate time to education on a daily basis.


Chris P. Hansen, Vice President By day, Chris is the assistant water superintendent for Morgan City Corporation in Utah where he has worked for 27 years. By night, he is Family History Expos, Inc. vice president and one of the company's biggest fans. He and Holly have been married for 37 years and live in Croydon, Utah. At events Chris oversees transportation, set-up and take-down, but his true passion is overseeing the prize drawings.


Kimberly A. Savage, Director Kim was born in Burley, Idaho and raised in Layton, Utah. She graduated from Weber State University in Health Information Management of Records & Information Systems and Technology. Kim has researched genealogy for more than 15 years, specializing in British, Irish, Utah, and western state records. She also instructs classes in research and fun, creative ways to involve others in family history.


ShyAnna Chambers, Executive Assistant ShyAnna grew up with family history and is still discovering she knows more about it than she can possibly imagine. Her tech skills put her ahead in the office and she loves working with people. Whether on the phone or in person, she has the ability to give the customer just what they need.


Lorraine Indermill Quillon, Text Monitor A native of Boulder, Colorado, Lorraine resided in Utah, California, France, and Maryland before landing in Charlottesville, Virginia. Her dedication to precise language was probably inherited from her father and grandfather, both aspiring authors. Her passionate pursuit of her progenitors began in 1964 and has only grown in intensity over the years. However, the eyes of her husband and five children tend to roll as soon as she starts asking people questions about their ancestors. B.S. from Brigham Young University; compiler of five published books on Belmont County, Ohio, records; pre-press assistant for more than a dozen books written by others; former proofreader/editor for a major family history magazine.


Marlo E. Schuldt, Broadcast & Video Producer Marlo is president of LifeStory Productions, Inc., an Orem, Utah-based company that develops family history software and provides assistance to individuals desiring to gather, prepare, print, and share family history. With BS and MS degrees from Brigham Young University, he recently patented the Heritage Collector Software. Father of five; grandfather of 17.


James L. Tanner, Expo Assistant & Research Expert James has a B.A. Degree in Spanish, an M.A. Degree in Linguistics from the University of Utah, and a J.D. Degree in Law from Arizona State University. He has 37 years experience as a trial attorney in Arizona. He also has over 30 years experience in genealogical research and is the author of The Guide to FamilySearch Online. He is an avid Blogger and his genealogy blog, Genealogy's Star is on of the top genealogy blogs in the US. He has been a presenter at a number of Expos and Conferences. He is the former owner of a retail computer business and Apple Macintosh software company.


Ruth Ellen Maness, Expo Assistant & Research Expert Ruth has 35+ years experience in Germanic & Scandinavian records, Former Senior Research Consultant at the Family History Library. Co-compiler, Passport to Paradise: The Copenhagen "Mormon" Passenger Lists, Legacy of Sacrifice; lecturer for NGS, FGS, BYU, UGA, ICAPGen conferences; Former instructor at the Salt Lake Institute; Research experience both at the FHL and onsite for Germany, Poland, England, South Africa, and Eastern/Southern/Mid-Western United States of America.


Billy D. Edgington, Expo Assistant & Research Expert Billy received a BA in History from the University of California Irvine, after also spending two years at San Jose State and three years at Antioch College, Ohio. She has over 40 years’ experience in historical and genealogical research, is a co-author of "Vital Information from the Guion Miller Roll," author of "African-Cherokee Connections," and past contributor to the Genealogical Helper. Billy manages the Ask-the-Pros booth at our Expos.


Tanya N. Atuaia, Expo Assistant Tanya enjoys family history events and has been attending conferences, seminars, and expos since she was eight years old. She currently assists onsite with the Family History Expos booth and classroom needs.


Arlene H. Eakle, Genealogical Research Advisor Arlene is the President and founder of The Genealogical Institute, Inc., Dr. Eakle is a professional genealogist with more than 30 years’ experience in research, consulting, lecturing, and writing. An expert in tracing families from New York, Southern U.S., British Isles, Switzerland, and parts of Germany, she claims a 96% success rate.


Sandip Banchhode, Website Development Sandip is a Director at Web Dreamworks (India) Pvt. Ltd. where he is the leading provider of global consulting, information technology, financial planning & analysis, accounting, administration, marketing and sales. Sandip is responsible the company's high-touch customer relationship and delivery excellence model, providing this leadership for more than 17 years. Sandip began working with Family History Expos in March of 2010. He is married with one child and lives in Nasik, India.


Bernard E. Gracy, SWOT Advisor Bernie is Senior Vice President Global Products at Cimpress, N.V. (Vista Print) in Lexington Massachusetts. He has a BS and MS in Computer Science, an MS in E-Commerce, and was recently inducted into the UCONN Academy of Distinguished Engineers. He brings great passion and insight for family history events, products, and services to our advisory board.


Jennifer Hunt Johnson,  Owner of Great Family Books, an online company that offers writing and editing services. She developed a love for family histories at her first job, with a family history publishing company, helping authors turn their own family histories into books. Later, she managed technical writing departments at several high tech companies in Salt Lake City and then returned to her roots, serving three years as vice president of My Ancestors Found (which became Family History Expos). She has sent hundreds of books and manuals to print, demonstrating her love for language and passion for creating clear, concise, and accurate information. Jenni is the former managing editor of Family History Magazine, author of A Simple Faith, and co-author of Publishing Family Historeis, Large and Small and Capture the Memories interview books. She has a BA in English from Brigham Young University.

All billing and other information submitted to this Site must be truthful and accurate. Providing any untruthful or inaccurate information is a breach of these Terms. If you find a product is not as described your sole remedy is to return it pursuant to Family History Expo’s return policy.

Because customer service is paramount to our business, we reserve the right to refuse to sell products to you if it reasonably appears to us that you intend to resell the products.
