Local Census Records and Census Substitutes

Event Date/Time

October 23, 2015 08:00 AM   -   October 23, 2015 10:00 AM

Description and Highlights

Local censuses are and have been taken by local government entities to supply specific data. They pre-date and post-date the Federal censuses (1790-1940). Some were concurrent and complementary to these censuses during the interim years. Genealogists do not use these valuable records enough—they are usually unaware that they exist, what they will add to their lineages, or how to find them. This class will open your mind to new horizons in census research.
