Ask-the-Pros: Use the Census to Locate More Records

Event Date/Time

March 31, 2017 10:00 AM   -   March 31, 2017 12:00 PM

Description and Highlights

Arlene H. Eakle and Holly T. Hansen will share insights in this class that will take you beyond a list of names and possible relationships found in the census. It will teach how to determine other record groups you should be searching for more information on your family and discovering the details of their lives.

This class will be broadcast beginning at 10:00 a.m. MDT.

Once you have registered for this event, go to our "Free Downloads" page, Download the Timeline Tool form and fill in a timeline of information on a single ancestor or individual you are researching. You will be given instructions for submitting this for analysis before the event begins. Don't wait, get working on your timeline form now.

You will love this "live" online learning experience. Each Question asked will take us on a unique research journey. The value of seeing how we approach a research question will be of great benefit even if you don't submit a question for yourself. Join us and learn some new strategies for online and onsite research.

We will begin with instruction followed by the Q&A session.
