You are about to embark on an exciting journey of self discovery. Genealogy work is the process of investigating and recording your family history, which in turn helps you see how you fit beautifully into the human story. Because genealogy work involves solving mysteries, which is very thrilling, this hobby can easily turn into a life-long passion. In order to get you off to a good start there are a few basic things you'll need to learn. In this class you will learn how to use FamilySearch for locating marriage and census records, plus you'll learn some simple tips for doing genealogy work like a seasoned professional.
This broadcast will begin at 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time (7:00 p.m. Central Time). You will enjoy this "live" online learning experience, where you are invited to "Ask-the-Pros" your personal genealogy questions. You also have the option to submit a research timeline for personalized instruction from our pros.
Join us and learn how to get started with your personal family history research both online and onsite. We will begin with a simple instructional presentation, followed by the Q & A session. During the Q & A, we will post submitted timelines and go over them with you.
We will help you build a "to do" list for beginning research. Be prepared to take notes on the resources and strategies recommended.
