We will visit this world class exhibit of artifacts and western prairie scenery. The main building is 21,500 sq. feet of exhibits, archives, and meeting space. An earth berm, planted with native buffalo grass encircles the building and blends in with the surrounding prairie. The total complex is 24 acres with a farmstead, a windmill, hothouse and perennial herb garden. Also to be seen are the Vacin Barn, Nicol School, a Sod House, the Lone Star Church, and the Cooper Barn which houses over 100 years of agricultural history. where you can get the touch and feel of life during the 1870s and early pioneer days of this area.
